Perez has been a lightning rod for controversy all season weighing in on attendance and even the Cleveland Browns. As the Indians sit in no man’s land in the standings many fans clearly moved them from the buyer column to the seller column. Maybe that isn’t the case, although there are still more than four hours to go until the deadline.
Maybe all this standing pat will lead to the Indians being buyers this off-season when Hafner’s contract comes off the books along with the one-year Sizemore deal.

Darn! I don’t think there has ever been a Cleveland athlete that I’ve disliked more than him. Maybe Larry Hughes.
Trust me, he feels the same about you.
Thus representing the towel that the FO has thrown in on the 2012 season.
Next: see ya Choo! It was fun. Hope you enjoy your new home.
Then we can move on to “Phase 3”: Re-signing Hafner!
Can’t wait for that 2015-16 “window.”
Sigh. Go Browns.
To be fair, he disliked me first.
Being a fan of Chris Perez is like dating the hot, spoiled, rich girl that grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. Great to look at and fun to be around…. until she doesn’t get her way.. Then she becomes a raving lunatic and you realize you have a bonafide nutcase on your hands. At that point, you have to decide whether or not she’s hot enough to put up with the crazy side.
Crazy is never worth it.
Win.
I get the talks about trading Choo. It is a wise move from the Indians FO to explore dealing any player….especially one that you are sure will not re-sign with you in a year and a half. Choo has an irreplaceable arm…but I am just not convinced he is a “star” like a lot of other fans say. In my opinion, he should have had a breakout year by now, and I just don’t see him being a “must have” piece on our roster.
The talks about Masterson have to mean there has been bad blood created in trying to get him to sign long term. The Indians must feel getting Masterson to sign an extension is iffy right now.
What I don’t get at all is the rumor that Perez won’t be moved at all. To me, he is the first one to go, and the one that could get you the largest return as well. He is perhaps the most overrated player on the Tribe, who also plays the most overrated position on a baseball team.
If you still are watching this minor league team, I give you a lot of credit.
Perez is an absolute a$$hat for tweeting about the fans after the worst series of the season, the one that essentially knocks the Tribe out of the playoff race. He’s got some stones, I guess, but needs to have more brains, and get the hell off of Twitter.
