Box Score: Athletics 8, Indians 5

There was a sign of life, but it was far too late. The Indians struck for four ninth inning runs, but Bartolo Colon had shut them down for eight innings and the offense was lifeless prior to that as the A’s took game two of the series 8-5. Carlos Santana, Shin-Soo Choo, and Brent Lillibridge all had homers to account for the team’s five runs late in the ballgame. Corey Kluber pitched five innings, allowing four runs on four hits. The Indians try to prevent the sweep this afternoon with Justin Masterson facing Jarrod Parker.

We’re going to see the Royals pass us in the standings, followed by the Twins. We have no one on AAA nor AA that is going to be an impact. Our front office is an absolute abomination at evaluating talent and our ownership is too cheap to spend to contend. Welcome back to the 70′s and 80′s Indians fans. Do you remember municipal stadium with only 4,000 fans in the stands? Did you ever think it would happen at the Jake? Get ready, it’s coming.
