August 10, 2012Roster Move: Indians Release Derek Lowe
August 11, 2012Whudda thunk it? Fourth-string QB Thaddeus Lewis led the Browns on two late scoring drives to give the good guys a preseason-opening 19-17 victory over the Detroit Lions in the Great Lakes Classic.
As Craig wrote already this evening, the starters were underwhelming early but the offense roared back in the second half with 16 of its points. Overall, Browns QBs besides Brandon Weeden finished 18-for-29 for 264 yards and a TD. All three posted QB ratings better than 100.
We’ll have plenty more this weekend and the coming week on what’s next for the team.

What’s the early word on injuries? Who and how bad? Did not see game in St. Louis.
MoMass has another concussion.
Patterson, Paxson and Cameron all carted off.
Diagnosis…bad babysitting.
We own the barge….just booked my hotel room for the Super Bowl.
Injury reports are apparently worthy of down voting. Excellent.
You Play To Win The Game!!
only good news on MoMass is if it is another concussion we will know to replace him now rather than trying during the season. Sad day for the WR-version of Brodney Pool.
