Cleveland Browns Final Cuts. (Finally.)

The Browns finally announced their final cuts and roster. Here are the transactions-

Waived:

Dominic Alford OL, Ronnie Cameron DL, Josh Cooper WR, Stanley Daniels OL, James Dockery DB, Garth Gerhart OL, William Green DL, Dan Gronkowski TE, Benjamin Jacobs LB, Ernest Owusu DL, Brian Schaefering DL, Jarrod Shaw OL, Jeff Shugarts OL, Brad Smelley FB, Quinton Spears LB, Adonis Thomas RB, Kiante Tripp DL, Rod Windsor WR

Contracts Terminated:

Evan Moore TE, Seneca Wallace QB

Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner

Scott Fujita LB

Traded: David Sims LB

    The sims trade is puzzling. Usama is mediocre at best AND has been injured all pre-season. Sims has shown that he has potential, why not at least keep him for a year? Right now I’d rather him start over Usama at SS.

    Thought Sims was a safety? Otherwise some that have been cut I would have kept,and some that were kept I would cut. Jebron Lames,you are excited about this team and this year,well now I have heard everything. We will be lucky,possibly very lucky to end up 3-13 on the year. Can’t say I see anything to be exited about.

    usama wont be the starting safety, Eric Haag will be. I do agree i’d rather keep Sims though.

    Wow…all I can say is that this is Shurmur being Shurmur. His lips must of felt really good against Holmgren’s back side to get this coaching job.

    Cant believe they cut Smelley. Anyone would be better than Marecic.

    Also sad to see Schaefering go. I think he’s about the same talent level as a couple of the guys they kept and he always plays his heart out. Couple chump DB’s they kept around too.

    Haag is the starter anyway, but while I wasn’t thrilled with Young last year It’s important to remember Sims was playing mostly against not starters when we saw him. It’s also possible that with the tremendous youth movement in the secondary the coaches wanted to keep somebody with experience on the field a little bit. I’m not totally sure I agree with the move either, but there’s always somebody who looks great in a couple of preseason games against scrubs and it can be tough for us fans to keep perspective.

    the browns will end up with 1or by luck 2 wines this year. every player that found the end zone has been cut. evan moore,adonis thomas, brad smelly rod wndsour..
    shumur you get paid to win games not loose them. the meds you are on ARE NOT WORKING.

    keeping young over sims just for pick next year,should of kept him and cut young who has done nothing since he has been here and keeping mo mass who has taking more hits to the head then ali was dumb.he is gun shy

    I just hope Young can play special teams… if you’re not a starter in the secondary, you better be able to play special teams.

    This season is turning out to be the same as other seasons for the Browns. Full of promising possibilities that never workout in Cleveland. We are doomed by the choices the organization makes repeatedly, season after season. I can’t wait for the season to be over with, so we can take another high draft pick that we will trade away for some magic beans.

    why in the world would you keep an injury prone fumble machine in hardesty and cut a rooking Adonis Thomas who produced more than hardestys best performance other than possibly one or two games favoritism comes to mind big big mistake cleveland even as a third stringer hardesty is a joke dumb dumb move the kid(adonis) will find a team and make you all look like the jackasses you are
