Things might get more and more interesting with regard to QBs in Cleveland if Howard Eskin out of Philly is correct. Eskin reports that A.J. Feeley could be a Brown, although it appears to be mostly speculation on his part.
If Feeley finds his way to Cleveland, as a 35-year-old QB he could fill the mentor role for Brandon Weeden the way Jake Delhomme did for Colt McCoy. It has always been hinted that McCoy missed the elder statesman a great deal last season. Feeley has played with Philly for the bulk of his career, mostly as a backup.
And who knows? Maybe Colt McCoy isn’t safe just yet as the backup.
