I think [Brandon Weeden] is very prepared. I think he’s had an outstanding camp. I thought he had an outstanding offseason. Really he’s kind of improved every day. For a guy that’s going through this for the first time as a pro, I think he’s very ready.
– Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur, Tuesday, after announcing that Weeden would not be suiting up for the team’s preseason finale this Thursday. Through three preseason contests, Weeden is 24-of-49 for 297 yards, zero touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 59.7. He was the victim of four sacks, three of which resulted in a fumble.
