According to Fox 8 Cleveland’s John Telich, following up his report of Alonzo Gee and the Cavaliers reaching a deal on a long-term contract, the Cavaliers may be looking to come to a buyout agreement with small forward Omri Casspi.

Casspi, 24, was acquired along with a conditional first-round draft pick for J.J. Hickson before last season prior to the NBA lockout. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds on 40.3% shooting (31.5% three-point shooting) in 65 games (35 starts). With Gee and newly signed C.J. Miles on the roster, Casspi’s playing time would have likely been severely cut.
