According to NFL Network’s Albert Breer, Trent Richardson (knee) will start at running back for the Cleveland Browns as they play host to the Philadelphia Eagles on Opening Day of the 2012 season.
Good AM. Couple nuggets: Browns RB Trent Richardson (knee surgery) will start today. And LB Scott Fujita is unlikely to play, per sources.

Richardson had not played in any of the team’s preseason contests and was listed as questionable all week, but this was the expected outcome with optimism growing by the day with head coach Pat Shurmur calling his Friday practice “great.” While his role will not be fully known until game time, 20 touches by the third-overall pick in the recent NFL Draft is obviously an upgrade for a team in dire need of an offensive spark.
