Browns defense deserved better in 17-16 loss to the Eagles
September 9, 2012Box Score: Twins 8, Indians 7
September 9, 2012The Browns defense certainly did their part on Sunday against the Eagles. Dick Jauron’s defense contained Michael Vick and forced four interceptions. Defensive back Sheldon Brown, however, was not a part of the solid day against Vick, as he jogged off the field in the first half with an apparent shoulder injury.
After the game, head coach Pat Shurmur indicated that Brown had suffered a shoulder stinger. That’s typically not a serious injury that keeps players out for a significant amount of tim but it could mean that rookie Trevin Wade, who was inactive on Sunday, might see increased action in practice this week.
