Video: Josh Cribbs Sustains Hit to Head in Baltimore

It is still amazing that the player was able to get up on his own accord and walk off of the field.

Watched this enough last night, but was hoping to maybe see video of him walking off…any word on how he is doing? Interesting new rule though that if the ball carrier’s helmet comes off, the play is dead.

How was that a legal hit?

  • The_Real_Shamrock

Testament to Cribbs for being able to walk off after that but it’s plays like this that will and really have derailed his career. I really wish he’d have learned to be a WR and turned the train wreck of returns to the younger guys.

It’s not a ravens or steelers game without Brown getting knocked out on a questionable hit.

There didn’t appear to be anything illegal about the hit. It wasn’t helmet-to-helmet. The defender drove his shoulder into Cribbs’ head.

If a runner is going to lower his head like that, then there’s nothing a tackler can do. You can’t penalize him for that.

The way I see it if a tackler lowers his head and leads with it it should be illegal. Whats the benefit of tackling this way? And you miss more tackles by not having your head up.
