The Cleveland Browns have added defensive lineman Brian Sanford to their active roster. To do this, they placed starting linebacker Scott Fujita on the injured reserve, officially ending his season due to a neck injury.
Sanford, 25, has bounced around from the team’s practice squad to the active roster several times in the past three seasons after signing as an undrafted rookie out of Temple. He will be the team’s fourth defensive tackle behind rookies Billy Winn, John Hughes, and Ishmaa’ily Kitchen tomorrow as the Browns will be without Ahtyba Rubin. He had five tackles in three games last year for the Browns.
Fujita logged 14 tackles and 1 sack in 3 starts this season.
