While We’re Waiting… Josh Gordon Better than Blackmon. So Far.
October 25, 2012Cleveland Browns Film Room: Game 7, Richardson’s Runs
October 25, 2012It’s that time of week again. Last week we had over 250 people weigh in and we’ve had about that pretty much every week. I think it only gets more and more interesting to see how Browns fans react to maybe the most inconsistent team we’ve seen since 1999. I know that’s saying a lot, but it seems to me the sense of disappointment over this team right now reflects an optimism that they actually could be better. I don’t think that sense of potential has always been there with the various Browns rosters over the years.

Chargers coming off that Bronco game and stick-um investigation and PR debacle. They will either come out angry and destroy us or they will lose this game to us and it will cause them to freefall.
It’s Norv, so it really can go either way. I sort of expect a blowout. Just not sure on which side of the ledger.
For what it’s worth…
Weeden first 4 games: 90-for-167 (54%), 249 yds/gm, 3-7 TD-INT, avg. passer rating 60.8
Weeden last 3 games: 64-for-105 (60%), 262 yds/gm, 6-3 TD-INT, avg. passer rating 91.
I bet we’ll go for it on 4th and 1 this week.
Phil wins it at the gun.
I wonder if Pat got a company memo.
(1) Haslam’s expressions last week + (2) Hodges self-destruction = (3) Shurmur going for it on every 4th down, irrespective of distance or field position.
Please? Just once, I’d like to see that. What do we have to lose?
Should be high scoring don’t see the running game being effective which means probably another potential 40 attempt game for Weeden. Will be interesting to see what Matthews and Gates do against the defense. SD finally got Gates going in their last game (my fantasy team was thankful).
I think both fan bases should go *%&^ing root for Buffalo
I don’t know, if Shurmur keeps being himself it will be easier to fire him.
To put in perspective…..that’s 4200 yards, 32 TDs and 16 INTs if you stretch those numbers of the last three games out over a full season.
I’d say he is playing at an extremely high level for a rookie QB.
from this week’s TMR:
Brandon Weeden has four touchdowns on throws at least 15 yards downfield over the past three weeks. Only Brees and Aaron Rodgers have more and San Diego has allowed six touchdowns on those throws, tied for sixth-most in the league
That’s my feeling too. Early, I thought this was a winnable game, but I’m nervous after the loss to the Broncos.
Then I think you just answered your own question as to which way the blow-out will be.
I love Richardson. But is anyone else excited to see Hardesty and Jackson get 10-15 carries each this week, with Ogbanayanayananyananya still serving as the 3rd down back?
