Cavaliers Say Goodbye to November with a Trip to Atlanta
November 30, 2012Contest time: Win a four-pack of tickets for Leg Lamp bobble night
November 30, 2012If Anderson Varejao, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol aren’t on the All-Star team, it’s a farce. Anderson Varejao has been the best forward in the Eastern Conference this year. I mean of there mere mortals — I don’t count LeBron, he’s one of those aliens. But out of the normal human beings, Anderson Varejao has been the best forward in the Eastern Conference this year.
— TNT analyst and resident non-filtered voice Charles Barkley, Thursday night, when discussing the front court which should play in Houston for the 2012-13 NBA All-Star game. Barkley, at this stage, is merely echoing Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott who has been his center’s biggest supporter. It is worth noting that Barkley has a bit of a history when it comes to not being very kind to Cleveland with his commentary.

Boggles the mind to think how formidable of a duo Varejao and LBJ be had LeBron not bolted.
Stern would have to apologize to all NBA fans. It would be an
unacceptable decision and substantial sanctions would be forthcoming.
PF is probably his most natural position, but isn’t Andy our starting Center?
Yes he is, but there is no longer a ‘center’ position on the all-star ballots – just ‘front court’ so I’m guessing that’s what he was getting at.
He’s been the best “big”. He plays center now, although natively he’s a PF. That the NBA just has bigs and wings now will help him get in since he won’t have to directly compete for Chris Bosh’s spot. I think the coaches will vote him in if the fans don’t. It’s too hard to ignore him this year.
How hilarious would Varejao be at the All-Star game? He’d be the only dude hustling for offensive boards, shooting layups instead of dunks and taking charges at an alarming rate. FANTASTIC!
As if we hadn’t seen that???
If only Boozer hadn’t bolted first…
Topic creep… I’m going to go drink.
What if Luke Jackson had been good?
More like Barkley’s has hated on that LeBron James guy (and still is). It just made it spread over our entire team. Andy should be an All-Star and we should sign him long-term (also solving the salary floor conundrum). Kyrie might miss out due to his injury, but will still be in the first and second years game (Dion and TT deserve to be there too).
What if Delonte West didn’t sleep with Gloria James??? Sorry. Couldn’t resist.
What if?
