Kyrie-less Cavaliers Hope For Different Results In Second Sixers Showdown
November 21, 2012Report: Waiters to get more minutes because of Irving’s injury
November 21, 2012As Steelers week continues here in Cleveland, we’re hearing more and more from coaches and players about their thoughts on the latest iteration of our Pittsburgh rivals. Today, we bring you the latest quotes from the star rookies on offense for the Browns as provided by the team’s media relations department.
Trent Richardson, who said he beat up on himself after his performance last week against Dallas, said he has to lead by example this week back at home.
“Yeah, especially playing against the number one defense, especially in this town playing against Pittsburgh,” he said during today’s press conference. “It is big. Watching film, they are the most put together defense I’ve ever seen in the league so far. Those guys there, they’re well disciplined and they love to stop the run. They’re going to put the big hit on you so for me I’ve got to do everything I can to get what they give me.”
Meanwhile, Brandon Weeden also said he’s excited and looking forward to his first Steelers game as a Brown. He emphasized how the Steelers do an effective job at keeping the offensive players in front of them at all times, while crediting their tackling ability as led by Ryan Clark.
“The best thing about this defense is they have good players,” Weeden said. “They’ve got guys that have been in the league for a long time. They’ve got guys that can tackle. They’ve got guys that are scheme-wise really, really good. He’s (Dick LeBeau) a big zone blitz guy. They don’t give up many big plays. They try to keep everything in front and they do a great job with it. They’ve done it for a long time and I don’t really expect it to change when we play them.”
