Pat Shurmur said today that Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden, who suffered a concussion in Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was cleared to practice and will start Sunday “barring any unforeseen setbacks”.
Weeden described the concussion as his first, and added that it was “minor”.
“I’m ready to rock and roll,” said the rookie.
Weeden was courtside for the Cavaliers game last night, along with fellow teammates Joe Haden and Trent Richardson.
Free safety Usama Young (concussion), wide reciever Josh Cribbs (chest/shoulder) and safety Ray Ventrone (calf) did not participate in practice today. Cornerback Dimitri Patterson (ankle) was limited, but said he is close to 100 percent and hopes to play on Sunday.
