12 Days of Christmas picks another winner

WFNY_12Days_Ralphie

The giveaways continue as we get closer and closer to the 25th! Yesterday’s winner was Cleveland Chick! She will be going to see the Cavaliers take on the Houston Rockets and hopefully wearing her new WFNY wine and gold shirt while she enjoys the game!

Today we have another great prize, so let’s get to the boring rules and disclaimer…

Just a reminder how the giveaway works. Each weekday we will give away a Cleveland themed prize. To enter, you need only to respond in the comment section in the appropriate manner. The winner each day will be randomly selected and notified by email. (Which means you better make sure that the email address you use to comment here is a legit one.) I cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas. We’ll do our best with the things we have in hand. Only one member of a household can enter each day, and only one winner per household during the length of this contest. Just spreading the love around.

And now today’s contest-

Today’s Prize:

Today we have a great shirt from GV Art and Design. It’s the classic Metcalf design. (If you are a fan of the 80’s era Browns and haven’t read Scott’s profile today on Brian Brennan make sure you do.) In addition, the winner will receive a $25 gift card to Piada Italian Street Food restaurants, opening this month in Northeast Ohio.

Today’s Question:

The Browns have new management in Jimmy Haslam and Joe Banner. The Indians have given the team over to Terry Francona. The Cavs still have Chris Grant and Byron Scott in place. The question today is this- which Cleveland front office member (excluding owners) or coach do you have the most confidence in?

Comments must be posted by midnight Cleveland time in order to qualify for the drawing. Check back tomorrow at noon for the results. Remember, only one entry is allowed, but you may still comment to add to the discussion.

Good luck!

Which Cleveland front office member (excluding owners) or coach do you have the most confidence in?

Dick Jauron–He’s made the Browns’ defense into something that’s above average.

The question today is this- which Cleveland front office member (excluding owners) or coach do you have the most confidence in?

Francona – he has the track record. However, the baseball situation in Cleveland is quite different than in Boston.

The state of Cleveland sports is evident when you realize how hard this question is, and not because there is a wealth of great choices. Got to think Francona is it, as he has those rings that all the others lack. I’d like to say Grant, but other than getting lucky with the Clips pick becoming Kyrie, none of his moves is a definite win. Heckert has a lot of holes in his record (Dmitri Patterson anyone? Even, gah, Weeden), and he’s a goner anyways. The Tribe front office? No way. So Francona it is.

    Heckert, Heckert, Heckert

Terry Francona. Guy knows his baseball.

The question today is this- which Cleveland front office member (excluding owners) or coach do you have the most confidence in?

Byron Scott edges out Tom Heckert; a guy who took the oversized egos of Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and a bunch of nobodies to consecutive NBA Finals brings serious credibility.

The question today is this- which Cleveland front office member (excluding owners) or coach do you have the most confidence in?

I feel like saying none of the above, but if I had to choose I guess Banner. Francona is here to relax and hang out and the people who hired him have shown zero ability to build a consistent winner. The Cavs will never win because they are not LA, NY, Boston, Miami or Chi.

which Cleveland front office member (excluding owners) or coach do you have the most confidence in?

Most definitely Tom Heckert, he has been the one constant bright spot, I mean where would we be now with a whole roster of David Veikunes and The myth Robiskie!
