The final AP poll prior to bowl season was released this afternoon. As expected, the Buckeyes moved up from #4 to #3, hurdling Georgia after their hard-fought loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship game yesterday afternoon. Notre Dame and Alabama top the poll, and they will face off in Miami for the BCS National Championship Game. While the Buckeyes do have a chance to jump to #2 in the final poll, especially if one-loss Alabama beats Notre Dame to claim the title, the far more likely scenario would be #4 Florida or #5 Oregon hurdling them with a win in their respective bowl games. Such is life for a team that’s forced to watch everyone else play in bowl season. Oh well, we’ll always have Michigan.
