NFL Report: Browns to interview Dirk Koetter

From Fox Sports Senior NFL writer Alex Marvez-

Koetter was the offensive coordinator  and Quarterbacks coach in Jacksonville before becoming the Falcons’ OC.

If you want to see a bit about what Koettler is like in front of the camera and mics, here is a vid from Atlanta.

    Welcome back!

  • Jeremy

Great.. A guy that went from QB coach to OC…. That worked last time, right? Right?

  • Orange Mike

Who will be the mandatory Rooney Rule interview?

  • The_Real_Shamrock

    Don’t jinx us! LoL

Lovie Smith should be the obvious choice. He might get our gig since Da Bears canned him.

    Lovie

Huge difference between what Atlanta’s offense looks like an what St. Louis’ offense looked like.

You can’t avoid something just because it didnt work once before. People have different personalities, knowledge, and decision making processes to go with their experience in different organizations.

I would take Smith over any other candidates. But, there are 6 other teams looking for a coach. He’s not going to pick Cleveland.

  • Vindictive_Pat

Arizona’s DC Horton will probably get a look and deservingly so.

  • EdgewaterJoe

OOH! OOOH OOH OOOH!!!! Glad someone caught that.

  • Brick

Lovie’s record means he merits an interview. How insulting is it that there is a such a thing as the “Rooney Rule” that implies that he doesn’t? Affirmative action is evil all around.

  • @TheDeePagel

Romeo, Romeo, Where art thou to appease Rooney, Romeo?

  • saggy

In 15 years, when white people are a minority in this country, do you think there will be a rule that says teams need to interview at least one white guy?

How about women? Why isn’t there a rule ensuring that teams are interviewing at least one woman for every opening?

obviously i am just being silly. please don’t get all political
