Young and hungry, Kyrie Irving is Cleveland’s new All-Star
January 26, 2013While We’re Waiting…Senior Bowl targets, Francisco Lindor, Colt’s raise
January 27, 2013There is not much more to say about Kyrie Irving and the week he has had. Forty points in a win over the Boston Celtics, All-Star, 2012 Cleveland Sports Professional Athlete of the Year, 35 more points against the Bucks and this — a game-winning three with 0.7 seconds remaining in Toronto, marking another double-digit comeback win.
Kyrie Irving. So casual, so lethal.

That shot was an awful choice, from that far away? only down 2? But for some reason the second it left his hands I knew if was going in. We aren’t making the playoffs anytime soon, but at least the Cavs are fun to watch!
Yeah, I was watching again…..just sayin’
The Cavs won, so that shot was a great choice.
Who cares about their record, this kid is a legit MVP candidate. Screw Kevin Durant.
You got that right!!
On road with your star, really no shot at playoffs, go for win every time.
Can WFNY please get the “I’m Kyrie” shirts printed so that I may give them my hard earned money for one already?
While it may have appeared awful initially with Kyrie’s ability to drive, the defender slumped off him by 6 feet basically telling KI “the game winner is there if you want it”…..and he did.
I’ll see what I can do…
Why complain about a made game winner… Only in cle
Demand and supply my good man!
Kyrie Irving has 30+ in last 3 games, all Cavs wins. We might have a chance at making a run this year yet. Winning the close games and the 4th quarter comebacks prove the Cavs are not a team to overlook. Wanted to watch game but FSO had the hockey game on instead, where is FSO2 (formerly STO)?
I watched on League Pass but the broadcast was FSO. I wish they would just put all Cleveland sports on STO and everything else on FSO. Less confusion, and they can even rename it Fox Sports Cleveland…
This dude complains about everything. I’d swear he was a troll. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Fear the Roo say anything positive. Just a hater, a wack hater. That shot was amazing. His coach gave him permission to do that. I’ll take that over the peanut gallery. Kyrie is THE TRUTH
Let’s see – Kyrie hits 41% from 3-point land (and this was open). He hits about 50% from 2. Of course, going to OT would mean they’d have about a 50% chance of winning in OT.
So:
41% VS 50%*50% = 25%. 41% > 25%.
STRONG BUILDINGS!
I liked hearing BScott telling him to hit it. I liked Kyrie saying uh huh, I’mma take it.
%’s (below) be damned. They aint goin anywhere this season, so take some shots at wins. And how bout that Speights dude! I hope they keep him around–those are some quality minutes!
I watched on League Pass too. Rarely get to see the Cavs out here in DC land. Dios Mio, it was a crappy poor quality feed. Anybody else have that too, or is it just my lousy cable provider?
Another great game to watch Speights has really helped inject some passion/tenacity into this team. He looks like a much bullish/darker Varejao out there in a way.
Kyrie Irving played with a chip on his shoulder as well which was nice to see. He was verbally sparring with Calderon on multiple occasions and even stared down Johnson after an attempted block of an Irving layup went for not.
I disagree. On the road, down by two, Raptors had all the momentum, you go for the win. I would have liked a closer shot, I guess, but the defender was playing so far off that Kyrie had the room to shoot. Cold blooded.
I try and watch most games and when I cant I record them. My wife is not a huge basketball fan but tolerates me watching some games. Last night it was recording while we were watching something else. I had to check in and see the score I couldn’t wait to watch it later. I switched it over with less than a minute to go expecting us to be down (I was thinking this run has to end soon). Even my wife sat up in bed and started cheering and when Kyrie hit that shot we were both screaming at the TV. Awesome win it is almost starting to be reminiscent of the mid 90’s Tribe team. If they were close you just knew they would find a way. If Kyrie has the ball and we are a shot away I just know he will deliver. Even Lebron didn’t finish like Kyrie. This kid is a finisher.
i’ll be honest. i sort of gave up on this game. it’s toronto, who has just had our number. they seemed to be in control most of the game. but, dang, it sure is nice to have 4Q-Kyrie.
Ok, he may sound like your tipsy, mush-mouthed uncle, but it is a little loveable when he blurts his nonsense after a game-winner.
[But really, Dan Gilbert, it’s usually not loveable so why AC? Why the 70s player who’s least likely to form a coherent sentence even when someone else starts it for him? Just make him and his dirty old man laugh a greeter at the Horseshoe and bring back Chones or Ehlo or somebody, anybody]
