January 10, 2013NFL Report: Browns to hire Rob Chudzinski as next head coach
January 10, 2013Adding his name to the list of those who have met with the Cleveland Browns more than once is former Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
As @MaryKayCabot reported, Browns meeting again today with former Cardinals HC Ken Whisenhunt.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 10, 2013
The Browns met with Whisenhunt one week ago while they were out in Arizona for Operation: Ducktales1.
Whisenhunt, who was fired Monday by the Cardinals, also has interviewed with the Buffalo Bills. He was one of the longest-tenured head coaches in the NFL prior to his firing, leading the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history during the 2008 season. He went 1-11 over his final 12 games with the Cards in 2012.

well, we wait for Garry to crack open the 2nd bottle of scotch for the day.
Hey!
Welcome to Mastergeek Theatre.
no way. Wait … got it! Randy is O’Brien’s nephew fresh from the hotel, spilling things on everyone. Of course I just leaked into Season 3 so not sure that’s fair. Maybe if the premise is that Ken = Old News we must set our feet firmly before The War and work with the ingredients already in the pantry.
pathetic, isn’t it. (sigh)
I thought “Operation: Ducktales”, with the accompanying footnote, was great. I literally (not figuratively) laughed out loud, and I’m gonna be humming that damn song for the rest of the day…
But I’m a little weird, so…take it for what it’s worth..
Yeah, but on you it looks good.
If he’s the right guy according to Haslam & co., then he’s my favorite. Hopefully he doesn’t change the D and keeps Slick Dick. On offense, I feel like we definitely have the right pieces for him. Plus, Weeden reminds me of Kurt Warner I some ways. Limited mobility, came into league much older, pocket passer. This could work.
If limited mobility and coming into the league much older can equate to a (probable) hall-of-famer, I can totally bring those skills to the combine this year.
have you ever bagged groceries?
YES actually!
All I’m saying is that if any coach can get the most out of Weeden, it might be Wiz. And not having to get a new QB would be awesome
Yeah theres no way you can teach him new schtick
Flighty Duck perhaps?
I feel like you just talked me out of going home with a fat girl. (No offense, Chudzinski)
Don’t think we have the beer-tinted glasses anymore. Buffalo might have gone hogging the first night, but I think the Browns have sobered up a bit to get something more than a two-year stand… something about learning from history?
That’s what wingmen are for.
I have to say I’m a little sad that I missed all this while it was happening. Darn Bowling night!
TSR – that’s awesome!!
Ken = New Coke
that old dog (coughlin) can teach my Browns some tricks
