who makes an announcement like that at 10:25pm? I guess it is in time for the 11p news….
gasp.
I am no longer excited about next season
It’s third shift for the Factory of Sadness…
Please let it be wrong
Gary I got the bottle out
It’s going to be tough selling Chudzinski as the dynamic, power-wielding leader they defined at the beginning of the search. Browns PR team, strap ’em up, you’re going to earn your salaries on Friday…
Anyone want to venture a guess on how this affects Lombardi’s involvement?
My immediate thought is that Chudzinski is a reverse Batman. You know, he’s not the coach Cleveland NEEDS, but he’s the coach Cleveland fans deserve.
I really, REALLY hope they know what they are doing.
Cue the hundreds of Browns fans condemning the hire before they have any idea of how it will turn out.
And in other news ……. Browns fans are running for Bridges all over NE Ohio
Mary Kay says to expect Lombardi announced soon. Going by the Cleveland Media Rule of “Expect the opposite of what MKC reports”, he shouldn’t be involved. That said, every blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while so who knows.
Rumor is that Norv Turner may join him on the staff in Cleveland.
Thats Norbert to those “In the know”
Rob Chudzinski…Gotham’s errr…Cleveland’s reckoning.
https://twitter.com/KeithBritton86/status/289572401493184512 – sauce, take it with a grain of salt until more report it.
A week ago, we were contemplating Chip Kelly’s state-of-the-art offense in Cleveland. Now, we’re ruminating over Norv freaking Turner
I’m pretty shocked by this hire. This is the third straight time the Browns have hired a guy that. O other teams even interviewed. Doesn’t mean that Chud will turn out to be a failure, but that sure makes me nervous. I’m also reading reports that Jauron is unlikely to be retained. If that’s the case I really hope that the Browns are not planning on bringing someone in to run the 3-4 – that would set the team bak 2-3 years at a minimum.
Im feeling a little ill
and the fans saying “I am driving to the 480 bridge right now.”
FACTORY OF F****NG SADNESS!!!!
Good thing I have already been drinking for two hours. I have zero faith in chud
SDA, you don’t mind if I take your bottle of scotch so that I connect it directly to my veins, do you?
and with the 166th pick in the draft, the Cleveland Browns select Denard Robinson, Michigan.
Norv Turner, while a fairly poor coach has always been a good coordinator.
Not commenting on the Chud hire, just saying Norv as coordinator isn’t a bad thing on it’s own.
intravenously is the only way to go
Horrible selection! This guy will be out in tow years with no more than 6 wins. Are you kidding. With Mike Zimmer available and Bruce Arians. This is a chump! I am ready to leave the Broins following wiht this selection. No way we win. Nw owners – same lousy results. Maye no one wants to come to Cleveland to coach. Chus is a pud.
I agree that he is a solid offensive mind, but relative to the excitement Chip Kelly’s innovative offense this hire would appear quite banal
Ahhh…the ole’ “hire Rob Chudzinski to play hardball for Nick Saban trick”
….excellent Mr. Haslam, excellent.
I like it, though I’m sure all be a lone aye as Cleve fans begin the standard woe is us primal scream.
But for those who also knee-jerk scream about the possibility of Norv Turner as OC, gimme a break. He may be a mediocre HC but he’s a boss OC. And would be the best coordinator on either side of the ball we’ve had since Lindy Infante in the 80s. If Chud can get him, grab him before someone else does.
Thanks, brother. Pass it!
I’ve been drinking cheap Elijah Craig 12-year bourbon all night (not bad, actually). Looks like I know what I’ll be doing for the next 2 years …..
Just me and me and my bourbon.
Horrible pick! New owners – same lousy picks! With Zimmer and Arians availabel are you kidding? This guy will be out within 2 yeatrs after winning no more than 6 games!
Best comment ever! No, really. I checked.
OR…..we could act like kids again and try the new fad. Something called a “Butt Bong” ?
You’ve been drinking, too, no? “All”?
Does Harv drink?
I can only say that my feelings about this can only improve. As a “glass half full” guy, it’ll happen – but it will take some time.
Wait a minute! My bourbon glass is more than half empty! I’ll be right back ….
Have you seen his love for Chud? He must be constantly drunk.
Does your theory work in reverse? If Chud was a terrible OC will he be a great head coach?
[swig]
yeah I think this can work!!
You make a valid point
Did the Cleveland Dept of Public Health put you up to this, Harv? Follow the money boys…
I hope so, because he truly was a terrible OC!
But so was Shurmur, so …
Maybe the mayor himself preemptive move before the bridges get over crowded and traffic come to a screeching halt
Is there a fourth shift?
You rang?
Seems like a Chud critique vs. a Norv critique is all, which I don’t have much of an argument with.
Sounds good. I need something to get back into my happy place.
Tell my children, I love them very much…
Wait, I don’t have children. Gosh I’m not even married, I’m so alone. Good thing I have Chud!
Steve Martin, for the win!
I’m on board with it too, Harv. He made a pro bowler out of Derek Bleepin’ Anderson & Braylon Bleepin’ Edwards. He ran the 8th ranked offense in the league when he was here. He turned around Carolina’s miserable offense. I like the hire. John & Jim Harbugh & Mike Tomlin (among others) didn’t have experience as a HC either. I’m hoping Chud takes us that route.
