Indians no longer pursuing Jim Thome, will not commit roster spot to DH
February 7, 2013Irving, Waiters and Zeller on “Team Shaq”; Thompson on “Team Chuck”
February 7, 2013In addition to the BBVA Rising Stars Rookie Challenge and the NBA All-Star game, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving will participate in the Sears Shooting Foot Locker three-point challenge.
Irving, who has hit 2.1 three-pointers per game on the season, is presently ninth in the NBA with a .429 three-point field goal percentage. He was a perfect 5-of-5 on Wednesday night when the Cavaliers thumped the visiting Charlotte Bobcats. The 20-year old is the reigning MVP of the Rising Stars challenge when he made all eight of his three-point attempts — he notoriously made sure that the photographer had the “Cleveland” from his jersey in any award ceremony shot.
“I work on my 3-point shooting every day in practice, off days and everything, I’m still working on my shooting,” Irving said at the time. “I’m trying to get where it’s near perfect.”
He will square off against Indiana’s Paul George, New York’s Steve Novak, New Orleans’ Ryan Anderson, Golden State’s Stephen Curry, and San Antonio’s Matt Bonner.

Boobie has a sad
well, I hope Boobie perks up
That’s what worries me. While I’m ecstatic at all the exposure he will be getting during All Star Weekend, I wish he had time to rest up for the 2nd half of the season.
“Sears Shooting Foot Locker”
That is disgusting.
