Francona: If you didn’t like this winter, you’re probably going to be mad at anything
February 15, 2013Rams could have had RG3 and Richardson if they traded Bradford
February 15, 2013Outspoken Indians’ closer, Chris Perez took heat last season after calling out fans for their lack of support. Now, Perez is pointing the finger at himself and his teammates.
#Indians Chris Perez: ''The front office stepped up and now it's time for us to get it done. There's no reason why we can't win this year.''
— Tom Withers (@twithersAP) February 16, 2013
Perez continued, this time speaking on the difference between this club, and Indians’ teams of the past.
Perez: ''It's a totally different atmosphere, and for the guys who have been here for the last four or five years, it's refreshing." #tribe

The Indians’ opening day lineup is expected to have four new faces with the additions of Michael Bourn, Nick Swisher, Drew Stubbs, and Mark Reynolds.

I live about 10 mins. from the park in Goodyear…so excited to get the spring games underway!!
And I live about 30 min from the park, ready to see some games next weekend!
and I live 10 minutes from this real smelly homeless dude. Really excited for the weather to get hot again so I can smell him from home!
It’s so unlike Perez to speak his feelings. I always thought of him as a more reserved kinda guy. Ya know, one who just does his job and DOESNT complain about fans while he’s being paid millions to play a game…. “It’s refreshing”? please Perez, just shut up this season. I Know it’s impossible for you, but just stop talking. Please
I don’t like the implication that there is an acceptable time for them to NOT get it done.
Oh Chris, you never learn..
I read this as “the front office held up their end of the bargain, so it’s up to us to execute.” The guy is a two-time All-Star; he’s “gotten it done.” The collective, on the other hand, has not. That has to change.
Way too late for this. The messages he delivers can obviously change for the kinder, but he’s going to talk as long as the media horde swarms to his locker like angry bees following a game.
Implying that the angry bees are the cause rather than the effect? No, if it’s animal analogies better to go with pigeons. As soon as he declines comment the birds will hop elsewhere. But not Chris, he can’t, he just has too much in him not to share with the world. That would be selfish.
