This morning the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that tight end Fred Davis is deciding between the Browns and the Washington Redskins.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter also reported that the Browns have “serious interest” in the former Washington tight end-
One league source familiar with thinking of Washington free-agent TE Fred Davis said Redskins and Browns “are serious about signing him.”

Davis was injured in the Redskins’ 7th game of the season, rupturing his Achilles tendon. According to the Washington Post back in February, Davis is ahead of schedule in his rehab.
Davis is a Toledo, Ohio native who has had some success with the Redskins. His best year was 2011, in which he caught 59 passes for 796 yards and 3 touchdowns. For his career, Davis has caught 155 passes for 1,973 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Davis is 27 years old, and would easily be the best receiving TE on the Browns roster should he choose Cleveland.
