Breaking down Paul Kruger’s and Desmond Bryant’s Browns contracts
March 13, 2013NFL News: Chris Ogbonnaya signs two-year deal with Browns
March 13, 2013The Cleveland Browns have been signing players, just not their own. Kaluka Maiava has been signed by the Raiders according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Former Browns LB Kaluka Maiava signed with the Raiders: 3 years, $ 6 million.

Maiava’s time with Cleveland is relatively non-descript. He was a fourth round pick by Eric Mangini in 2009. He was a spot starter at times due to injuries and had a few highlights here and there as a depth type of player. At 5’11” and 230 pounds he was a bit undersized to be an NFL linebacker from the get go.
In the end, Maiava ends his Browns run with 99 tackles and 4.5 sacks in four seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

No loss. This guy was a terrible tackler. Just turble.

Thank you Mr. Bidwell. You just keep on giving. I thought for sure we’d end up having to give Arizona a pick for Rhodes. He’s 30yo, but he’s a good 2yr stop-gap at S where we desperately need somebody and he should be pretty cheap. He helped Horton have a good pass defense in Arizona last year.
(no thanks on Adrian Wilson – the other cut S from that defensive backfield)
unless you are a pig and he has a knife
do his 99 tackles over 4 yrs include those he made on special teams?
Wondering if Ken Burns might be interested in a new two-part documentary: “The Hindenburg and The Browns Draft of ’99. ” Oh, the humanity.
if a bear craps in the woods and nobody is around to smell it…
Kaluka Maiava and Alex Mack are bonded by being the best of a sucky group.
At least we had a better haul than the Jets, they traded up with us that year for Sanchez, and he might be cut. Mack definitely anchors the middle of our OL and deserves to be paid, roughly $7-9 mil/year.
Also one of the most tenured browns.

And that’s it
Alex Mack would like a word with you and looks none too happy.
