April 24, 2013The band is getting back together. Former Cavaliers assistant coach and Detroit Pistons head coach John Kuester will reportedly rejoin Mike Brown in Cleveland.
Mike Brown adding ex-Pistons coach/Cavs assistant John Kuester to staff, and keeping Jamahl Mosley from Byron Scott's staff, source says.

FOX Sports Ohio’s Sam Amico reports that Kuester will be joined by Jamahl Mosley who will be retained after spending the last three years as an assistant to Byron Scott. Kuester is largely credited with overseeing the Cavaliers’ offense during his tenure with the team. Mosley has spent the last two years working with power forward Tristan Thompson and was vital in the player’s progress between his rookie and sophomore campaigns.

Same as it ever was.
Same as it ever was,
3MB BABY!!!!
Got to love that under “You may also like-” it has an article titled “The Cavs Better Replace John Kuester”
Now if we could just get that #23 to play SF again…
pretty sure sasha’s contract in Portland is up. Let’s get him too!
Bingo.
I’m trying desperately and failing to find a video clip from Can’t Hardly Wait of the Love Burger reunion…
you should be looking for this one anyway:

And you may ask yourself where does this highway go to? And you may ask yourself am I right, or am I wrong? And you may say to yourself My God! What have I done?
Preachin to the choir Mr Byrne, Preachin… to. the. choir.
GM rule #248; Anytime your coaching hires are met with multiple quotations from the king of nerd rock, you are really painting yourself into a corner.
For those not actually reading the article, it’s saying this as a credit to Kuester.
4 fried chickens, and a coke.
I’d rather have #6 myself but hey Go Los Heat!
And some dry white toast please.
Delonte Gunlsinger West too!
Good info about Mosley/Thompson Scott. I hadn’t heard that piece.
Called it! Kuester definitely increases the good will between Cavs fans and Mike Brown.
Excellent reference.
OK, two small stupid homer-type things:
– Admirable Mike quality: I always felt like he took the bullets without complaint, without even a discreet eyeroll, ever the perfect soldier. No excuses for himself, covered for his players until he thought extreme measures were needed (JJ). We have no idea how many times LeBron subverted his instrucs, but I have a feeling it was pretty frequently. I picture Brown wildly waiving his arms to foul at the end of the Boston playoff series and LeBron simply refusing. Or LeBron pounding, pounding, pounding as the shot clock hit 6 while Mike paced desperately. Never bought that the iso was always Mike. He upstandingness [trademarked] wears awfully well. It’s not a ring, but it’s not another Showtime war story either.
– On a related subject, Mike handled Delonte’s schizophrenia better than any other coach or org. No idea if Delonte is more ill now or less compliant with his meds. But tell me Delonte isn’t a baller, a gutsy, tough as nails, follow-me-through-the-wall player. I’m biased because I adore that guy’s game but man, tell me these young ‘uns wouldn’t learn competitiveness watching chesty Delonte get in his man’s face. If he’s mentally manageable to play I’d love him back here. Not as nostalgia (“Why won’t they interview Mark Price!!”). Because he can play.
He’ll be 30 next season and didn’t look overly impressive in the D-league this year. He was a fine addition to this team when he was in his prime, but basketball is a young man’s game and Delonte is no spring chicken.
congratulations to coach Brown and Coach Kuester. The talent is there an the draft pick and saary cap r is there. I am sure you will do great.
Didn’t see Delonte play with Dallas just this season, but don’t think he was cut for any reason other than his psyche issues. I have no idea, but guessing he’s half-assing it in the D-league because right now his volatility makes him an untouchable in the NBA.
Maybe you’re right and his physical abilities plummeted. And again, I’m not objective. I’m just thinking he’d be well worth a look.
ok, ok, (slowly stepping in from ledge)
The Cavs are now officially the stupidest franchise in the NBA. What happens after they fire Mike Brown, bring back Byron Scott? So stupid…
If he’s half-assing a comeback attempt, there’s no way we should give him guaranteed money. Sure, work him out, but, still, 30 is old for a perimeter player in the NBA.
Yeah. I admit I read the article after the post. You have to admit the title, though, was pretty funny placement.
