RB Arian Foster will play role in upcoming Draft Day movie

We’ve discussed the upcoming movie “Draft Day” several times on the site. We know that Kevin Costner will play the part of the Browns’ GM, and that Denis Leary is on board as the ‘new’ head coach. It seems that Texans’ running back Arian Foster will have a role in the movie as well-

It isn’t known yet if Foster will be playing a role as Cleveland’s running back or if he is just making a cameo in the film as himself. Perhaps he is playing a college star that the Browns are considering drafting?

Thinking about Foster in a Cleveland Brown uniform. This movie may end up rivaling “Major League” in Cleveland when all is said and done. Of course, the Browns would have to end up winners at the end for that to happen.

Eisen’s remark about Ray Allen is in reference to Allen’s role as ‘Jesus Shuttleworth’ in the movie He Got Game.

Sigh kinda reminds me of how I pictured Adrian Peterson in a Browns uniform all those years ago!

  • mgbode

what, is Trent Richardson not built enough for Hollywood?

  • The_Real_Shamrock

Jim Brown said he was ordinary and didn’t vouch for him.

  • sclements

The fact that Arian was never drafted though…

  • The_Matt_Of_Akron

The role of QB is down to Martin Landau and Carl Reiner….

  • JK

    Another controversy?!

  • JK

    We did get Joe instead………..

  • The_Real_Shamrock

And the 10+ QBs he was responsible for protecting all are thankful! I was and still am an AP fan.

  • The_Real_Shamrock

No Warren Beatty? There was a Gary Coleman flic where I believe he played a QB.

Jim was greased up, and doing curls with one hand on his walker when he said it.

  • Harv 21

Dang. Thought for sure it would be Paul Giamatti. Seemed so perfect …

Hey talk about timely just came across this link:

I forgot about Flash Gordon but think Burt Reynold’s character of Paul Crewe from “The Longest Yard” is the most fitting these days! :o)

We have no QB. A Bernie Kosar movie would be interesting though.

Dennis Leary is garbage. Terrible pick for a coach

  • mgbode

because we’d be a dominant team if we swapped Joe for AP?

  • The_Real_Shamrock

You’d be better to be dominant would have required more but based on what Peterson has done for the Vikings who haven’t had many threats other then him I definitely think the Browns would have been better. That’s not a knock on Thomas it’s not his fault he still doesn’t have a QB worthy of his blocking just the reality. You disagree obviously.

  • mgbode

yeah, I think it’s more on the QB and defense. Adrian certainly allows that defense to rest, which helps. Basically, I think either choice would have been fine but also wouldn’t have changed our overall wins since then too much. I’m happy with Joe.

  • Jaker

Armie Hammer, the guy who played the twins in The Social Network. He looks like he could be a QB, at least for an actor

  • The_Real_Shamrock

I just can’t get over the fact that all these years later Thomas still doesn’t have a legitimate QB to protect. Meanwhile Peterson single handedly almost set the all time yards for a RB en route to a league MVP a year after his horrible knee injury and had a rookie QB and practically no WRs.

  • The_Real_Shamrock

It’s a demotion to go from playing The Lone Ranger to the Browns QB tho! ;-)

  • Natedawg86

He prob said he will never be any good at acting either

WildCats is an all-time favorite. The first Woody and Wesley flick!
