As the Indians have stumbled through the last several weeks largely due to a depleted bullpen, the need for left-handed pitchers has increased exponentially. Nick Hagadone, Rich Hill and David Huff—the three left-handers to get predominant time for the Tribe this season—have Earned Run Averages of 7.20, 8.44 and 15.00, respectively. Hill alone has allowed 20 hits and 10 walks in just 16 innings of work. Huff was designated for assignment on May 23 and was subsequently claimed by the New York Yankees.
Romero, 37, had a 2.84 ERA with 16 strikeouts and four walks in 12 2/3 innings for Washington’s Triple-A affiliate this season. Through 14 Major League seasons, Romero has a 4.16 ERA with 7.2 K/9 and 5.1 BB/9. He’s held opposing lefties to a .220/.314/.298 in his career.

Can’t be worse than Hill, Hagadone, Barnes, or Huff…
Is Paul Assenmacher available?
I’m sure Jesse Orozco still has a few innings in him too. He’s a young 63
Orosco but close.
Not really I wondered if this kind of move would happen given how bad the lefties out of the bullpen have been now it’s time to start scouting SPs.
And in other news, looks like all the anger management the Tribe and others attempted with Milton Bradley didn’t quite take.

Just a decent but misunderstood guy (pffft). Up next: a different sort of therapy, from someone probably not so impressed that he won the gene pool.
