August 18, 2013Cleveland Browns training camp comes to a close with a fiery practice
August 18, 2013The Cleveland Browns announced Sunday that the team has re-signed undrafted rookie free agent Jamaine Cook. To make room, the team released defensive back Kentrone Walker.
Cook was originally signed by the Browns after the draft, and was cut when the team signed Brandon Jackson, and was awarded the rights to Miguel Maysonet after the Eagles waived him on May 21st.
Cook is second on Youngstown State’s all time rushing list with 4,052 career rushing yards and 39 touchdowns. Jamaine grew up in the shadow of Cleveland Browns headquarters. He is a native of Middleburg Heights and went to Midpark High School.
At Midpark, Cook rushed for 443 yards and three touchdowns.
