Wait, he’s playing?? When I read the headline I could have sworn it would have been in a coaching capacity. Good for him that he’s been able to keep it up for this long as an NBA center.
It truly is Armageddon!
I thought the same thing… can’t believe that guy has been able to stick around on NBA rosters for this long, but good for him! If he can still play defense, then there’s a use for him.
Dang, 6 players that could play center. Does this mean Tyler Zeller’s days could be numbered? (Bynum, Varejao, Thompson, Diop)
Maybe Grant is doing this just to remind us how well he compares to Jim Paxson. “Remember THIS, folks? Don’t make me bring DeJuan Wagner in here.”
Oh, to be 7 feet tall with a 26 foot wingspan. Way to choose those parents, DeSagana.
He’s only 31.
yes, but, here are his past 3 seasons:
33%FG, 28%FT, 11min/game,6.4PER
per36min: 3pts, 9rbs
if only I could teach my kids to grow to be 7′ & 300lbs of muscle as teams keep giving him millions despite all of the above.

if Diop beats out T.Zeller, then his days in the NBA are definitely numbered.

On one hand we have a 23 year old coming off his rookie season in which he averaged 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 26.4 minutes for a PER of 11.02. On the other hand we have a 31 year old with 12 years of experience who has CAREER HIGHS of 3.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 18.6 minutes, and a 12.5 PER. (separate years)
Seems like a toss-up.
If you want to really feel depressed about your genes, note that his career earnings sit at just a hair over $47 million.
