ESPN’s Ed Werder reports this morning that Cleveland Browns’ first round draft pick Barkevious Mingo had been cleared to resume contact drills.
Source says Browns LB Barkevious Mingo medically cleared for contact. Should practice and make NFL debut after bruised lung preseason

Mingo has been sidelined since the second preseason games with a bruised lung. The injury occurred early in the game against the Detroit Lions. Mingo complained of shortness of breath, and was spitting up blood on the sideline when he was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for evaluation and held there for precautions.
Barkevious had a very good preseason game against the Rams, having a sack wiped away with a penalty and putting pressure on QB Sam Bradford several other times. He also made a couple of plays on special teams, including the first tackle on the opening kick-off.
He has been practicing with the team for the last two weeks, but not participating in any contact drills. If this report is true, Mingo could see his first regular season action this week in Baltimore as the Browns take on the Ravens.
