Trying to make sense of the Trent Richardson trade.
September 18, 2013While We’re Waiting… Good luck selling this one, Berea
September 19, 2013There’s very little to say about this in terms of show notes. I wanted Scott’s take on the Browns trade of Trent Richardson and I didn’t think it should wait until the following Monday morning. Scott and I talked about the trade itself, the spin job that’s brewing in the media and just how shocked that we’re even shocked as a Cleveland sports fan base seems to be a way of life.

Haven’t listened but just want to know if this podcast is loaded up with swears, Mamet-style.
Tons
But still worth listening to
I’m done listening. If you don’t like a writer for the Plain Dealer – don’t read him. His opinion is at least as valuable as any on this vulgar show’s podcasts.
save your sanctimony, please. the subject of the podcast is a violent sport performed by adults. Criticizing a columnist and cursing are not grounds for dismissal of an arguement.
This is really incredible!!! Raab simplies everything. Pluto wrote the following critique of T-Rich LAST WEEK BEFORE the trade! And all of my friends who are Browns fan have been skeptical on T-Rich since last year, when Hardesty was more effective than him.
Pluto, September 15th, BEFORE the trade:
“While Richardson extends tremendous effort running the ball, where are the big plays? His longest run this season is 10 yards. In 31 carries this season, he has 105 yards, a 3.4 average.
You can argue that the blocking has not helped Richardson, just as Weeden has suffered from iffy pass protection. So far, he is a running back who isn’t making anything close to impact predicted when selected at No. 3 in the 2012 draft.
It’s far too early to write him off, but Richardson is supposed to be finally healthy — and I’d like to see more.”
craig, i’m quite sure you got the ‘trich brewing discontent’ at my place. 😉
no srsly, if you read me, ive raised this flag several times.
This is all blah blah. The reality is that we drafted a glorified Fullback #3 last year. And now we get 1st round value for what looks to be a bust. The kid just isn’t that fast. He’s not that shifty either. He’s basically a head down bruiser. This trade helps both teams… if Richardson stays healthy playing on turf.
Shut up.
