Reign On Spotlight Player of the Week: Paul Kruger
October 27, 2013Browns, Bess fail to capitalize in Kansas City
October 27, 2013The Browns made two big plays on offense to keep this game from being a blowout.
Jason Campbell found Josh Gordon on a flea flicker for 39 yards and a touchdown for the first sign of life from the Browns’ offense. The second big play came on the next drive when Gordon again broke free for a 47 yard completion. That led to a Billy Cundiff field goal.
Apart from those two big plays at the end of the half, the Browns offense has been terrible.
They are 1-5 on third down. Gordon’s two receptions account for 86 of Cleveland’s 130 yards. The running game? Try three rushes for MINUS one yard.
Kansas City has had several sustained drives. Cleveland’s defense hasn’t been able to get off the field on third down. The Chiefs have converted nine of twelve third downs. They have run 47 plays compared to Cleveland’s 17 and own a 14 minute time of possession edge.
Jamaal Charles has 54 yards rushing for the Chiefs. Paul Kruger has the game’s only sack.

at this rate we will definitely get a second rounder for Gordon.
At this point, we don’t trade Gordon. No one else can catch.
