Browns vs Lions Week Six Inactives include Winn, Sheard; Calvin Johnson will play
October 13, 2013NFL News: Halftime score Browns 17, Lions 7
October 13, 2013
The 3-2 Cleveland Browns will face off against the 3-2 Detroit Lions First Energy Stadium. Kick off is at 1:00 pm. Who’d have thunk that both the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions would have actual winning records at this point? Today’s game should be a lot of fun. Follow the game and rant and rave in the comments. This is your Week Six open thread.
If you need to watch up on your Browns reading, here’s what WFNY brought this past week:
Ryan Jones has some thoughts on the Cleveland-Detroit rivalry and wonders if we should be surprised that the Browns are 3-2?
Craig Lyndall gave some praise to the Browns front office for what they’ve done thus far but isn’t totally sold on the Trent Richardson deal. Yet.
WFNY had a roundtable discussion on the seemingly never ending Josh Gordon trade rumors.
Rick Grayshock broke down the film from the Browns big win over the Bills and takes a look at the emerging leaders in the Browns locker room.
And of course, Jacob drops some number and makes you learn stuff.
GO BROWNS!!!

This one is on Haden. If he can keep a lid on Johnson, the run defense will handle Bush.
Weeden is terrible. This is going to be a long day.
Oh boy…gonna need some offense today.
Browns offense not umm… what’s the word… clicking as of yet…
All Weeden has to do is get that ball out on time to Bess, and he just can’t do it. Combine that with a missed throw to Gordon, and you’ve got a typical Weeden three and out.
Locked-on double-clutching goodness!
Stafford is the opposite. The ball is out quick no matter the play. There’s no time for defenders to get to him.
Gotta unleash the long pass even if you don’t complete it. Let Weeden take a shot and take the pressure off with the fear of a long one.
Nice! The equalizer!

The play-action pass to Ogbonnaya was paying big odds in Vegas if they had a line on such things.

Weeden is soooo slow to get rid of the ball. The receivers are open for him almost every time. He just needs to hit them on time.
Weeden taking up the arm punt. Ugh.
Who is this Chris Durham. Dude looks fantastic.
He was Megatron’s fill-in when he was out. Kris with a K I think.
Dude’s a beast. UGA guy as it turns out.
Nt always pretty, but I’ll take 17 points in the first half.
I wouldn’t be ready to anoint Weeds as the new B.K. (it is Brandon Kyle) yet but he is looking as close to as good as he did at Okie State and way better than last year.
Skrine!!! Woo-hoo!!!
Guess they thought they could score 17 points, then just coast through the rest of the game. Not even a first down in the second half? great.
I’d advise holding off on that anointing.
Yeah, I may have given my accolades too soon. Weeden needs to speed it up.
They are Brownsing this one away as hard as they can.
Oh, and what the heck is Weeden doing on that grounding call. He had 5 seconds to get rid of it and he chooses that option?
Get well soon Hoyer!
The Ginger Cringer strikes again……
WHAT THE (before-you-comment) WAS THAT!?!?
How does Weeden recover from that? How!?! Every question this week will be “WTF, Brandon?” First greyhound out of Cleveland. Holy cow!
Great call ref. geez…
I’m usually the “letter of the law” guy on those calls, but what are we watching if that’s an illegal hit on the QB?
Welp…weeds remains winless on the year. Get him outta here.
They really need to part ways with Weeden. It’s a shame they don’t have a young quarterback that they coulf at least try out since we know what we have in Campbell.
for me, even though i was done with him before, that last pass from Weeden shows just how little guts and acumen he has. You need to get that into the end zone. period.
A no-talent, pea-brained wuss.
Weeden is just clueless. Can we get Colt McCoy back?
Agreed. You’re in desperation mode that last drive, and you only take one shot at the end zone? He looks like he doesn’t want to pad his int total.
Hey Brandon! Guess what? You’re my age. That means this is your only shot in the league. If you don’t take some chances, you’re done…maybe before next week.
Trade for Kirk Cousins and end this. Heck, trade for Tavaris Jackson for all I care, just no more Weeden.
1.) The first pick we right to the defender.
2.) The second pick… was the worst pass I’ve ever seen. Even when Dalton threw it to the official, it actually looked like a pass.
3.) His ‘throw the ball while I’m being spined around by a lineman certaintly can’t have any negative consequences’ idea.
Go Away Forever Weeden.
sign flynn. cut weeds.
