While We’re Waiting… Ohio State deserves more respect
November 2, 2013Cavs come out flat, fall to Bobcats 90-84
November 2, 2013Last night was a weird basketball game from the Cleveland Cavaliers. They showed up listless, falling 90-84 in Charlotte. One issue was the fact Kyrie Irving didn’t take any of the final three shots. After the game, the Akron Beacon Journal’s Jason Lloyd (a must-follow on Twitter) shared some details about an elbow issue for Irving:
#Cavs Kyrie Irving just had x-ray on his elbow, said he landed on it wrong and had numbness entire 3Q. Affected his shot. Says he'll be fine

For the record, x-ray on Irving's elbow was negative. He's fine, folks. Will play tomorrow. Relax.

Fortunately, it appears the issue was minor. With the negative X-ray, Irving is likely a 100% go for tonight’s first back-to-back sequel of the season in Indiana. The Cavs will need a more forceful Irving to continue to be dominant; he’s averaged only 15.5 points on 33.3% shooting thus far in two games.
Another key issue heading into tonight is the availability of center Andrew Bynum. He’s been a last-minute announced active decision each of the first two games and there’s been no public announcement of his status for back-to-backs. It will be interesting to see if he can man his usual first-half backup center rotation spot.
