December 20, 2013Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Cameron missed the entire week of practice after suffering a concussion last Sunday in a loss to the Chicago Bears. Gary Barnidge and MarQueis Gray will handle tight-end duties for Cleveland.
“I have to make sure I know what I’m doing and not cause any disruptions on offense and make sure I’m helping as much as I can,” Gray said earlier this week. “If I do so, then probably you’ll see a lot more of me next year. We’re going to miss [Cameron] tremendously, his playmaking ability. But fortunately, it’s my time now. I have to step up.”
Heading into this Sunday, Cameron has recorded a team-best 75 catches for 848 yards and seven touchdowns.
Joe Haden (hip pointer) will be a game-time decision for the Browns. Haden says that he will travel to New Jersey to face the Jets and “wants” to play, but the Browns will not determine his availability untl after his pre-game workout.
