December 18, 2013Counting Down the Worst Cleveland Browns Christmas Gifts – #5
December 18, 2013Don’t let these guys steal your Christmas spirit!
The giveaways continue today. Thanks again to our site partners for helping with some of the giveaways. As always, your support is appreciated!
The Rules:
Here’s how the giveaway works. For the next 12 weekdays we will give away a Cleveland themed prize. To enter, you need only to respond in the comment section in the appropriate manner. The winner each day will be randomly selected and notified by email. (Which means you better make sure that the email address you use to comment here is a legit one.) I cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas. We’ll do our best with the things we have in hand. Only one member of a household can enter each day, and only one winner per household during the length of this contest. Just spreading the love around.
Today’s Prize:
We’re giving away a pair of books from our friends at Gray and Company Publishers. The first is Terry Pluto’s book Dealing. Next to The Curse of Rocky Colavito, this is my favorite from Terry.
The second book is Peter Chakerian’s The Browns Fan’s Tailgating Guide. It is a celebration of the tailgating tradition in Cleveland. Well put together and who knows, you may even be in it.
Today’s Question:
Which Cleveland athlete would you most like to see a biography written about?
Comments must be posted by midnight Cleveland time in order to qualify for the drawing. Check back tomorrow at noon for the next contest. Remember, only one entry is allowed, but you may still comment to add to the discussion.

The Cleveland Athlete I would most like to see a biography written about is Carlos Baerga. When celebrating a buddy’s birthday downtown this summer, we ran into him upstairs at City Tap, and ended up hanging out with him for well over an hour, playing a couple games of pool, he bought us a round of drinks, just a genuinely nice guy. Loved talking about the 90s and comparing that team to our current team. He works as an adviser/mentor a couple times a month for the young players on the team. Would love to know even more about how he grew up and came to play in the majors.
