Ray Horton to join Tennessee Titans as defensive coordinator
January 18, 2014NFL News: Tampa Bay hires third Browns assistant coach
January 18, 2014Though he rocks the No. 41 with the Cleveland Indians, Tribe catcher-turned-third baseman Carlos Santana appears to be wearing No. 107 as he plays in the Dominican Winter League.
The image above, from fiebredeportiva.com, depicts the Indians’ slugger as wearing the ever-elusive three-digit jersey number. On the potential position change for the long-time catcher, Santana said (in Spanish) “I’m not going into the unknown. I started my career as a third baseman and then I became a catcher. I’ll be back .”
Anyone who knows anything about bizarre jersey numbers in the Dominican League, please feel free to share.

Went to a Dominican game a couple years ago, “La Romana Toros”, vs. “Estrellas”. (Bulls vs Stars) HIGH ENERGY!! a lot of fun! Constant drum beats, and the crowd is hanging on every pitch. Hot, scantaly clad ladies on dugout between innings, typical Dominican flair, over the top mascot “humping umpires”, refreshing, no political correctness.
