Cleveland makes it official, Mike Pettine the new head coach of the Browns
January 23, 2014Kyrie Irving to start for Eastern Conference in All-Star Game
January 23, 2014CBS NFL insider Jason LaCanfora reports that Cleveland Assistant General Manager Ray Farmer has opted to stay with the team. Farmer was considered the leading candidate to be the new general manager of the Miami Dolphins. He will not interview with Miami a second time.
Farmer has 13 years of NFL experience as a scout and player personnel man. Last March he was hired to be the Assistant General Manager. He is highly regarded around the league, perhaps more so than any other member of the Browns front office.

La Canfora really is an insider isn’t he?
I’m guessing he has daily calls with our fake-GM, real-media-consultant Lombardi.
Maybe Lombardi should be relocated to the PR/Spin Department and Farmer should become the real full-time GM.
Finally, some good news.
Now, if we can just lose that whole “assistant” thing…
I don’t know, more like Lombardi picks and chooses what he leaks to him.
that’s not what they do already?
I think everyone would like to know exactly what he does heck I’d love to know what any of them do in that front office. I’d love to know if Banner behind closed doors is an ego maniac driven by power and control or if he really does share duties with others. He’s labeled as the CEO which for me means plenty of other things to do then football personnel. I heard somewhere this week, I don’t remember where or who, but the person reported that Philadelphia ran smoother when Little Joe stuck to his salaries and numbers. When he tried to interject into actual football that’s when problems arose. Just what I heard it may be true it may be false I don’t know.
