Bengals now unlikely to match Browns’ offer for Andrew Hawkins

March 13, 2014The Cleveland Browns announced today that they have signed tight end Jim Dray to a free agent contract. According to the Arizona Republic, the deal is three years for $5.625 million.
Chances are you are not familiar with Jim Dray.
Those very familiar with Stanford football may recall that Dray had a horrific knee injury in 2007 that resulted in “two surgeries (Oct. 18 and Dec. 6) to repair his ACL, PCLA, LCL, hamstring, lateral band, posterior capsule and popitillas.” Dray spent a year rehabbing the leg and came back in the middle of his senior season.
Dray was a seventh round pick of the Cardinals in 2010. He started 15 games for Arizona last season, catching 26 passes for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
He is 6’5″ and 250 pounds, and should be a blocking tight end and big target over the middle.

I personally am not him.
No. I am Jack’s Complete Lack of Enthusiasm
Was he involved in any bullying of Martin? With possible cohorts involving Owen Marecic, Andrew Luck, and Jim Harbaugh?
“I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together”
I’m not Jim Dray. I’m Spartacus.
I doubt that Marecic could bully my 5′ 6″ 10 year old freak with the size 12 feet.
He is he!
I’m not Jim Dray. But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
I’m not Jim Dray. Ben Tate is also not Jim Dray. Now, take a real close look at his picture above and then look at Mr. Tate below. Yes, NBC-Clev tried to pass off that the reason they false-reported Ben Tate in Cleveland on Wed was because they mistook him for the TE that was in town (which turned out to be Dray).

He is also not a guard.

Marecic has a hard time blocking and catching. The only reason he’s still in the NFL is because Harbaugh needs a water boy in SF.
of all the guys we have signed, I would bet he can play OG the best 🙂
One of the items on my “2014 draft wish list” was a clear upgrade to Gary Barnidge in a two tight end formation.
If Dray can block as well as catch the ball a little bit, then my request has been fulfilled.
I still wouldn’t stop them from picking up CJ Fiederowicz in the 4th round or Joe Don Duncan in the 6th.
I want to see a 2 TE, 2 WR base package where Hoyer calls the play at the line of scrimmage after surveying the defense.
Who besides me would like to see the Browns run a “hurry up offense” in the first quarter where the QB is dictating the pace of game to the defense, instead of the “change your lineup after every play to run a predictable play based on the personnel”.
The Browns have been so predictable on offense as I have watched them for almost 50 years of my life. I want for them to be less so going forward.
Who’s he?
That’s me.
Who are you?
I’m him.
Oh, okay.
I was looking for that last night. lol
you mean you don’t like that the offense is still modeled after –
1st Mack up the middle.
2nd Metcalf off tackle.
3rd slant or hook short of the sticks.
4th punt.
I’ll admit: I forgot about Dray
