Tribe Weekend Recap: Masterson’s ill-timed stinker, the Carrasco conundrum, Asdrubal’s impatience, and roster decisions
April 14, 2014Clowney will not hold private workouts before NFL Draft
April 14, 2014If Chris Pressley can return to form from a knee injury that cost him the 2013 season, he could be in for a treat in Cleveland.
This town loves them some fullbacks.
According to Nate Ulrich of Ohio.com (who by the way, does a really good job covering Browns news for the Beacon Journal) the Browns have signed the free agent fullback. Pressley was cut by the Bengals back in December. Pressley began the season on the PUP list after suffering a season ending knee injury back in 2012.
Pressley was a college teammate of Browns Pro Bowl tackle Joe Thomas at Wisconsin. Thomas’ senior year was Pressley’s sophomore season. Pressley was signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2009.
The Browns offense under Kyle Shanahan will likely use more of a traditional fullback than the offense used last season under Rob Chudzinski and Norv Turner.

Should make for an improved running game. (I’m looking at you Mr. Tate.)
Assuming we get some competent guards. (I’m looking at you Mr. Farmer.)
Grossi just got wood.
What is a fullback?

You know that the last few years have been messed up when I read this headline and exclaim, “FINALLY! A fullback!!!!!”
Also, Ulrich is really good. He’s like the Jason Lloyd of the Browns beat. (Also, why does the ABJ have the better sports coverage of Cleveland teams than the Cleveland paper?)
it’s true: the PD just tries to poach from ABJ – Windhorst, Pluto, Reed. Never understood why the PD can’t identify or attract better talent from elsewhere. Their replacement for the thoroughly mediocre Grossi was clueless, out-of-the-loop Mary Kay. The main beat writers for basketball and football seem to simply not know the x’s and o’s of the sports they cover.
Yay!
Agreed. Too many years of incompetent guards.
And now we can all return to worshipping at the altar of St. Lawrence, Patron Saint of Lunch Pails and Hard Hats.

Mr. Grayshock, there’s a Mr. Marecic on Line 1….
Katya: Owen Marecic may have lined up between the QB and RB, but Owen Marecic was no fullback!!!
Of course having Owen on the team was like going into the jungle. We never knew what was going to happen next, but we were really scared to find out.
I SO wanted that guy to pan out.
he couldn’t block, so he’s trash
