You can take these things with a grain of salt or you can choose to figuratively kill them with fire. The Cleveland Browns getting picked dead last in ESPN’s post-draft power rankings is ridiculous. No, it doesn’t matter, but they committed it to their website, so I felt like discussing.
The reason that I find it completely ludicrous and insulting is because Vegas – a place that has to actually put money on the line for their rankings – has the Browns as 75-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl. There are at least six teams below them with bigger payouts currently. The bottom three in order are Minnesota, Jacksonville and Oakland.
But what does Vegas know?
Again, it doesn’t matter other than for debate, but sorry if I think this makes these prognosticators look silly.
