Are there clues to LeBron’s choice on his website?

lebronjamescom

The way this story is being followed, covered and maybe uncovered is getting pretty wacky. Now, a website designer has done some of his own Internet sleuthing and has uncovered something that might be a clue. Apparently there are some new pages on the domain that have been coded in Cavaliers colors.

For those who don’t know, Firebug is a web development tool that designers can use to inspect a site and debug it. This designer apparently used that browser extension to uncover these things in an analysis of LeBronJames.com…

But not everyone had the same success finding clues.

I hope you’re still having fun.

since stats are just cumulative and subjective numbers (if a guy is 7 for his last 13, chances are he is 7 for his last 14, too), i think it’s important to throw the real life variable into this thing: I don’t care about his win shares or his PER if, by the time the end of the season rolls around, he has no legs left.

You could hit 50 homers through August and not get a hit in the world series…it doesn’t help your team win. Sure, it helps them get there, but adds nothing to the mix come prime-time. Maybe Wade’s numbers were better against garbage teams like Cleveland and Philly while the season was younger. Because later on, as the playoffs went on and the competition got stiffer, so did his lifeless body.

good point about the Pacers. My comment above should clarify that maybe he blew his load against Indiana and had nothing left in the tank. That’s not really a maybe – that’s pretty much an affirmative.

someone has asked this before, but if Wade is so darn good, why are there ZERO teams offering him a contract besides Miami?

  • saggy

to be fair: Malone played in the post against the Laimbeers, Grants, Rodmans, and Mark Wests of the world before there were hand-checks called as flagrant fouls. LeBron has been in the post once or twice before.

Because he’s already made it clear he’s staying in Miami no matter what, including signing that deal for lesser money. It’s the same exact think as Dirk in Dallas.

“You could hit 50 homers through August and not get a hit in the world series…it doesn’t help your team win.”

But that doesn’t mean that things are going to play out in a similar manner next season. I’ll gladly take the guy who hit 50 homers through August, even though I know quite well that the next small sample may not reflect his true talent level.

well, those bangers were mostly in the east which he played way less frequently but I get the position and era differences. Here’s my point: for all his foul-whining, for a decade LeBron has gone to the hole in traffic and against contact as much as any player in the league. And he’s doubled plenty. He turns his ankle once a year but doesn’t tear his knee or hurt his elbow (tee-hee). Think of how often Kyrie’s already been IR’d. LeBron has the rarest of bodies, like one of those Matthews boys in the NFL that can line up for 15 years like it’s nothing and leave without even a limp.

I heard that story bro, it was on the radio. Good try.

    Danny,

Whoa, you nailed me, bro. You got me good. Can’t get anything past you.

  • mgbode

    Winner!

  • mgbode

Well, months of real time is years of simulation time, so still better.

  • mgbode

Naw, doesn’t need an agent to do a friendly sale from The Chin.

Why does the internet not have the “momma, sit your *ss down” gif? We have failed as a society.

  • mgbode

If skynet reads what is on the internet these days, it will just blow the whole thing up to try to start over.

  • mgbode

He’s going to play in Italy for $50mil per year? Oh, sorry that was Kobe.

  • mgbode

Note: big part of them being favorite was being in east. Was 50/50 in projections I saw before finals.

  • mgbode

Love Ya Man, but that’s a stretch. We have given fungible assets for a chance. Worst case, we reboot some of the roster, which needed done anyway.

I saw them at 3/2 after they beat the Pacers. Good point about them being in the East.

no Gloria James face, but nice attempt
