October 12, 2014The Cleveladn Browns released their inactive list this morning ahead of their AFC North clash with the rival Pittsburgh Steelers. As expected, the defensive line is quite depleted with Ahtyba Rubin, Phil Taylor, and Billy Winn all inactive for this game, leaving them with only Desmond and Armonty Bryant and the seldom-used to this point John Hughes and Ishmaa’ily Kitchen. Kitchen and Armonty Bryant will replace Rubin and Taylor in the starting lineup.
The surprise comes in the backfield where running back Terrance West will not play today. The move is not related to an injury and rather a coach’s decision as West was not listed on the injury report. That will leave Ben Tate and Isaiah Crowell to split the backfield carries against the Steelers. Undrafted rookie running back Glenn Winston will also be active for the game.
Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden and outside linebacker Paul Kruger are both active for the game after being limited throughout the week. The other inactives include wide receiver Rodney Smith, cornerback Pierre Desir, and tight end Gerell Robinson.
