The sights and sounds of Cavaliers Wine and Gold scrimmage

The scene was pretty crazy in all actuality. WFNY will be writing and talking much more about the Wine and Gold scrimmage held at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night, but in the meantime, here’s what it looked and sounded like.

The lines were incredibly long. I’m astounded how many people were lined up prior to the 5:30 p.m. door time for a 7:00 p.m. scrimmage. I knew there would be people there early, and I knew the place would be packed, but I assumed that was going to be the case eventually. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I mistakenly thought the Cavs were going to unveil their scoreboard last night, but it’s a few weeks away yet. Still, look at just how massive the framework appears to be under the tarps. This is going to be a spectacular scoreboard.

Before the scrimmage, the team came on for warm-ups. This was the first time any of the nearly capacity crowd saw LeBron James back on the court as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After some warm-ups and a fast break drill, they broke into two teams and Cavs’ announcer Ahmaad did his thing.

Last but not least, I’m sure most of you have seen this by now, but just in case you didn’t, here’s Kyrie Irving tossing a bounce pass between his legs to LeBron for a thunderous dunk on an early scrimmage fast break.
