October 19, 2014Browns play down to competition, lose to Jags 24-6
October 19, 2014There’s literally nothing I can add that would make watching this new LeBron James Beats by Dre commercial any better. Between the spoken word, Hozier’s “Take me to Church” and all the visual elements…Just click the red and white arrow above and let the rest unfold.

amazing to me that LeBron could represent such a garbage company. Their headphones are overpriced crap. For $300 you could get so much more in your audio – it’s amazing to see the power of branding.
am i the only one who felt a little awkward watching that?
Why? I thought it was excellent. The mental imagery of a downtrodden childhood fueling what has been one of the most amazing careers of any professional athlete, set to one of the biggest pop songs of the year? Not sure what they could’ve done better. Beats has long been simplistic—head shots, lip syncing, etc. (Your thoughts on the quality of their product notwithstanding.) This is a pretty big deal.
Easily the most entertaining part of the Browns game.

I felt somewhat uncomfortable. Seemed to be deifying him juuuuuust a bit, primarily due to the music choice. Everything else was great, and I thought the song was great too. I just didn’t like the juxtaposition of the various elements of the commercial.

Actually, all the Beats headphones aren’t $300, nor are they all bad these days. They’ve done a decent job of improving their product, although they are still a bit more expensive than the average. But so what? If people use them and they like them, what difference does it make? Nobody is taking money out of your pockets to buy them.
I do agree there are better options for the audiophile, but these aren’t who these are marketed to. If someone wants to pay their hard earned money for something that makes them feel good then more power to em.
