I almost turned the podcast off at the music portion (I hadn’t read the description of the podcast) since I haven’t really been listening to much of anything new lately, but I’m glad I stuck with it since Alice is one of my favorite bands.
The indie/pop discussion was somewhat relevant since the one new record I’m listening to right now is Jukebox the Ghost’s self-titled release. It’s a fun indie record with a pop feel to it.
Re kids and time awareness, we did this one New Year’s Eve when they were begging to stay up: set all the clocks back 3 hours, did the countdown, hooters and everything. Worked beautifully: they bragged to the g’parents and cousins and friends. Tried it again the next year when the oldest was 5 and was so busted.
It always makes me happy to know that some people do listen to our music discussions, so thank you for the comment!
Haha, that’s a pretty great idea, too!
