December 14, 2014As recent as Sunday morning, Cleveland Browns linebacker Karlos Dansby thought he could be one of the active members of his team as they host the division-leading Cincinnati Bengals. Alas, the defensive captain will be in street clothes once again, having suffered an MCL sprain in the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans.
Dansby was expected to miss four weeks with his MCL sprain, but news later surfaced that he could play as early as last week against the Indianapolis Colts. It appears, however, that the initial diagnosis was accurate as he will miss his fourth consecutive game.
Also inactive for the Browns are cornerback K’Waun Williams (hamsting), free safety Tashaun Gipson (knee), running back Glenn Winston (“illness”), cornerback Robert Nelson (“hamstring”), offensive lineman Vinston Painter (healthy scratch) and tight end Gary Barnidge (rib).
