Watch Iman Shumpert shut down Derrick Rose
January 8, 2015Everything you need to know about Iman Shumpert
January 8, 2015Well, that escalated quickly. It seems like just yesterday that we were discussing the potential for Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and fellow 30-something quarterbacks coach Dowell Logains to be one-and-done. Turns out that there was plenty of fire to go along with that smoke.
FOX Sports’ Alex Marvez was first with the story, reporting that both Shanahan and Loggains are out, the former of which was granted a release and the latter being fired.
This news comes on the heels of rumors surrounding yet another toxic relationship between Cleveland Browns executives and members of the coaching staff. Reports from Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot discussed Browns general manager Ray Farmer’s affliction for quarterback Johnny Manziel, one that apparently did not sit well with Shanahan. The news of Loggains being removed from his duties is not surprising given the way dominos fall in the NFL, but it was Loggains who had apparently hitched his wagon to Manziel on draft night.
It is being reported that Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn (remember him?) will covet Shanahan in the event he lands the head coaching job with the New York Jets. Shanahan himself is also interviewing for a head coaching position with the Buffalo Bills. Meanwhile, Charlie Weis, anybody?
What this signals for the team’s quarterback situation is anyone’s guess. What this signals for Berea is that we have yet another regime with even more turnover. The more things change…

This graphic is wrong. He was a TE coach here in 2004, and then came back in 2007 as OC.
[edit] Well, I partially stand corrected. When Butch quit and Terry Robiskie became the Interim HC, Chud was technically the OC. My bad.
Know what else is crazy? That 2003 staff had the following people on it:
Bruce Arians
Chuck Pagano
Todd Bowles
The first two are two of the hottest HCs right now in the game, and Bowles is on his way to becoming a HC. Always a bridesmaid…
That’s too tough. Kenny Rogers, Kramerica, the puffy shirt, muffin tops. I just can’t.
I like Mike Pettine, I think he can be a good head coach at this level, and I hate to say this, but….
I look at the way Haslam runs this team, the schedule next year, and the fact that the front office seems (if not committed then at least) willing to go into next year with Manziel as the number one quarterback, and does anyone really think that Pettine will still be the Browns head coach this time next year?

Sorry. This is one of those time where you “have to.” “Can’t” is a 4-letter word and just isn’t acceptable. You need to come through for the good of the team. What’s your vote? Kenny Rogers? Kramerica? Puffy Shirt? Muffin tops? Anti-dentite? Soup Nazi? Shrinkage? Magic loogie? Bubble Boy? Merv Griffin Show? The Contest? Junior Mint? Yadda Yadda?

I’m partial to the Man Hands/Kramer gets a job/Bizzaro world episode.
Love this music montage

Fine. But this is like Sophie’s Choice, and George is very angry! Bizarro Jerry. Everyone’s got a good story. Elaine and her new bizarro friends. Kramer and the job. George and his hand model. So fricking good.
As an honorable mention, the roasters episode and the ep where Kramer bastes himself in butter like a chicken and almost gets eaten by Newman stand out…maybe on a ridiculously funny level. Ok now you go…
Just banged out my response before seeing. We’re on the same page…it’s unanimous.
Well done.
It’s maybe too obvious, but I think I have to go with The Game. The fact that the whole story line was developed on innuendo alone, with never the word being spoken, coupled with the conclusion, and the tie-in with the stories of Elaine’s Christmas card and Kramer with Calvin Klein (if I recall correctly). It was absolutely brilliant and groundbreaking, particularly for the decade in which it aired.
My close second has got to be the Magic Loogie.
Anyone else noticing how this narrative is now being spun by the media? That it was MANAGEMENT pressuring the coaches to play Johnny by the end of the year? I know this happened a whole 4-5 weeks ago, but don’t I vaguely remember EVERYONE calling for JFF in that Cincinnati game? It was pretty much everyone – even the Johnny haters. Even the Hoyer loyalists. Now that this fits into the Browns dysfunction narrative, all that gets thrown out the door and it was solely management calling for Johnny. Does anyone remember that everyone thought this was a good move? Somehow the 20/20 hindsight and the Browns hate eclipsed all of that reality.
I’m getting seriously annoyed and need to step away from Browns stuff. At least after I read one more article…
yeah, it’s ridiculous. Hoyer put up arguably the worst 4 game starting stretch in the history of the Browns and lost one of the most easily winnable games we have seen (Indy) and now it’s being reverse engineered to make it seem like everything was fine until those FO kids and that meddling Haslam stuck there finger into things?
My vote, as noted by GIF above, is for the Hamptons. It had it all: Kramer getting arrested for lobster theft, ugly babies, Elaine being flattered (or not), people not realizing that doors have locked (to naked consequences), everyone except George seeing his g/f topless, and, of course, shrinkage becoming a known term throughout the world.
I don’t know.
I didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Ok, I’ve looked everywhere.
Where can I get this hoodie…

As soon as Brian started struggling the FO and the media began pressing for Johnny. How many times did Pettine have to stand in front of the podium and say Brian is our best chance to win before it sank in that Johnny was goofing off and not ready to play?
Well, he scored as many TDs as Hoyer in those 4 games despite only 2 series.
So who is going to want to hitch their reputation to Manzel? Nobody who hopes to have a future in the league.
So we get one more year of Petine, fired after 2-14 next season with ANOTHER 3 QB season. Then we get new coaching staff and Manzel finally out, with this year’s draftee starting in 2016 going 5 – 11. Then we move on to another QB in 2017. YAY!!
After looking at some stats, I’m warming up to Roman, but I the jury is still out on Munchak. I need more information.
Heads up if you haven’t seen this yet.

my ex-wife makes $60 an hour on the internet . She has been fired for nine months but last month her payment was $19099 just working on the internet for a few hours. read here;.This is…
I hear Kyle has one that he won’t be needing anymore.
Er… is that supposed to make me feel better?
It is the Browns. So, of course not.
Cavanaugh would be good for a QB coach. I don’t think I want him at OC though.
