January 15, 2015Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Behind the Box Score
January 16, 2015The Cleveland Indians have a pretty good track record of avoiding arbitration and coming to agreements. They won’t have any problem continuing that reputation as they’ve reportedly come to deals with Marc Rzepczynski, Carlos Carrasco and Lonnie Chisenhall for one-year deals.
.@Indians, LHP Marc Rzepczynski ($2.4M) and RHP Carlos Carrasco ($2.3M) avoid arbitration with 1-year deals, source tells @MLBastian.

And this is the big benefit to the business of baseball. While any sum of money north of $2 million is a lot of money in the real world, in the world of baseball it’s a bargain price for pretty much any player you desire to keep on a major league roster. And yes guys like Carrasco and Chisenhall still have a lot to prove in terms of showing they can play well consistently, it’s still a very affordable gamble for the Indians to keep them under club control and avoid arbitration.

Probably a good deal for the money for all three.
I’m glad they’re back, but I feel they should’ve tried to lock Carrasco up for a few years…he’s due for a big year.
Carrasco is locked up for three years.
